A vase with no single colour and no exact form — it changes from every angle.
The entire surface is hand-carved, with black clay left deliberately exposed in places for contrast. The glaze shifts colour according to the thickness of the layer — green where it is lighter, dense azure and blue where it builds up. The form is deliberately asymmetric, and the asymmetry is an advantage, not a flaw — it flows and shifts like a drop of water in motion. Hand-formed, one of a kind.
Maker’s note
Black clay invites play with form. I wanted to create something without a fixed outline — a vase that flows and changes, like water. The glaze that responds to its own layer thickness – green passes into blue, blue passes into turquoise — and somewhere in between there is something without a name. This vase cannot be described in one sentence. It is different from every side.
