A 600 ml bowl — the texture and colour of breaking waves, a statement piece for the table or shelf.
Hand-formed relief dots created from liquid clay run across the outer surface, with glaze flowing down between them and leaving natural streaks. Warm brownish-red at the top, deepening to blue-green below. The interior is covered in layered glaze — contrasting transitions between sea-sand and blue. Hand-shaped in small batches — no two exactly alike.
Maker’s note
I live and work almost on the seashore. I see the sea every day and I’m surprised by its beauty every day — it’s always different. This bowl is a confession of love to the waves, to salt water, to depth. The glaze imitates breaking waves — layer over layer, the way water moves before it falls. Every bowl catches the light differently, the same way the sea never repeats itself.
