A fine vertical relief runs across the outer surface, recalling the movement of flower petals — restrained and balanced. The glaze is a cool blue-green, layered and translucent — deepening in the light and revealing subtle tonal transitions across the surface. Inside the mug sits a central relief detail that connects it visually to the Poppy series. Hand-shaped in small batches — no two exactly alike.
Maker’s note
The Poppy mug has a deliberately smooth rim — the ruffled edge that works for bowls and plates is not comfortable to drink from. Blue Poppy is the calmer side of the series: the same form, but a cool and balancing colour that works in both lively and minimal interiors.
