A poppy-inspired candy dish on a pedestal — a piece that rises above the table and defines the character of a room.
Richly ruffled petal-like edges — every fold and curve creates the impression of movement, as if the flower is just opening. The leg lifts the bowl above the surface, giving it a ceremonial and sculptural presence. The interior is covered in deep red glaze with genuine gold that concentrates at the centre and disperses in drops across the surface — gold details catch the light and shift the appearance of the piece from every angle. Hand-shaped in small batches — no two exactly alike.
Maker’s note
I love flowers with ruffled petals — they make every bloom lighter, fuller, and more alive. Nothing delights my eye more than a poppy or peony in full bloom. This series is dedicated to my favourite flowers — pieces whose edges recall ruffled petals just opening.
