A poppy-inspired bowl with ruffled edges — a piece made to define the character of a room.
Freely formed with petal-like ruffled edges — the shape is not strictly symmetrical but alive and organic. The interior is covered in deep red glaze with genuine gold that concentrates at the centre and disperses lightly across the surface. The gold details catch the light and shift the appearance of the bowl with every angle. Hand-shaped in small batches — no two exactly alike.
Maker’s note
I love flowers with ruffled petals — they make every bloom lighter, fuller, and more alive. Nothing delights my eye more than a poppy or peony in full bloom. This series is dedicated to my favourite flowers — bowls whose edges recall petals just opening.
