Clay, hands and your idea.

Working with clay is a peaceful, meditative and at the same time very creative process. For a few hours in the studio, you slow down, switch off from everyday thoughts and create an object that stays with you – in your home, in your daily use, in your interior.

During the 2-2.5 hour moulding session, you can make one item of your choice:

a mug or small vase

cup and saucer set

a deep plate or bowl

candlestick

serving tray for snacks (one of the most popular options)

a jewellery box or small container for household items

or a free-form object if you want to experiment and let your imagination fly.

I'll guide you through the whole process:

I will introduce basic techniques and help with form, proportions and technical issues. The workshop is suitable for beginners as well as those with previous experience of clay.

What happens after moulding

It’s important to know that making ceramics
is a multi-step process.

After the workshop, the object goes through the following stages:

Natural drying – 4-5 days

First (buisque) firing – about 1 day

Then the glazing stage

Glazing options

Independent glazing on your own

Come to the studio for an extra hour (1.5 hours) to glaze your own item.

All colours and different glaze layering options are available.

Glazing by a master (Anna)

I'll glaze it for you – one colour of your choice, without any detailed pattern.

After the glazing, a second firing is performed,
followed by cooling (about 2 days in total).
The finished object is available for picking up in 10-12 days in total.
